A few tips for while you are out and about.

Don't wear expensive jewelry.
Carry your purse across your body instead of on your shoulder.
Use a basket or have help carrying your purchases.
Drop your packages if you need to defend your self. YOU are more important than the packages.
Pay attention to your surroundings.
Follow your gut feeling.
Look inside your vehicle before entering it.
Keep it locked at all times, whether you are in it or not.
Lock the door as soon as you get in, don't wait for it to lock itself.
Don't sit in the parking lot after exiting the store. Leave right away.
Close your garage door before you get out.
